Simply Green Giving is one of my new favorite books. I’ve finally started to realize that crafting and being green (mostly through re-using) go hand in hand. I always brought old stuff to Goodwill or the Salvation Army if I didn’t use it anymore, but now I try to find ways to reuse myself first. Old clothes that don’t fit? I can use the fabric for small sewing projects or even to practice!
I highly recommend this book. Not only is it beautiful and a nice small size, but I think I will actually use the ideas. The book is full of simple ideas to make your gifts look nicer. I’m sure kids would love to receive vintage jewelry tucked inside an old candy box, or even just money secretly hidden inside a hollowed out book.
After reading this book, I check out Daily Danny at least each week for more great ideas.
I also bought his other book, Simply Green Parties, which I love as well.
I also think that reading Apartment Therapy and their first book has been a good influence on me becoming more environmentally aware….
