It really was not easy. It took me 3 tries to get it right. The picture in the instructions that illustrates how to sew the lining and the outer purse together was a bit misleading, you have to sew the lining to the bag straps with 8 separate stitching lines (the picture shows 4 lines).
I used silk dupioni (black for the outer, purple for the lining). The purse would be reversible, except that I don’t know how to slipstich yet to make the last finished seams. I improvised to sew the straps together at the tops because of my slipstiching problem. I tucked one strap into the other and folded the outer inward, and used the machine to stitch them together.
It is a small bag, with not much room to reach around in.
But in the end, I really like it, I think it will make a great gift. My first one is in the mail to my mom for her birthday to use as an evening bag.
